Cookie notice — Consolo

This site sets no advertising cookies, and nothing about your visit is shared with anyone else. It does measure which pages get read, using a beacon we run ourselves. It also offers a live chat, running on the same workspace rather than bought in from anyone else. That is why you will see a short notice at the bottom of the page with a working “don’t track me” button.

What is actually stored

Anti-forgery token — strictly necessary: Set only when the audit request form is submitted. It proves the submission came from this site rather than a forged request. It contains no personal data and expires when you close your browser. Under the ePrivacy Directive this is exempt from consent.
Visitor measurement — requires your consent: When you open a page we record the page address, its title, the page you arrived from as your browser reports it, and how long you stay — refreshed every 15 seconds while the tab is in front of you. No form contents, no keystrokes, no screen recording, no device fingerprint. It goes to our own workspace and nowhere else. If your browser sends the “do not track” signal we record nothing at all. We begin when you arrive; choosing “don’t track me” stops it and deletes what was already recorded, because an opt-out that kept the history would be a lie.
Workspace visit cookie — set by us, on bashara.pt: This site does not set it, and the measurement script cannot read it: it is HttpOnly. Our workspace sets it if you follow a tracked link from an email we sent you, and your browser includes it here because this site sits under the same domain. Its effect is that your reading of this site can be linked to your enquiry rather than counted anonymously. That is the honest reason it needs consent. It is also how the chat knows who it is talking to, so somebody who arrived from one of our emails is never asked their name.
Your choices — local storage, not cookies: Three small entries, none of which leave your device. consolo_notice and consolo_optout remember which button you pressed on the measurement notice, so we stop asking. consolo.chat remembers whether you had the chat panel open or dismissed it, so it does not reopen itself at you.
Live chat: The chat stays shut until you open it, or until somebody here starts a conversation — and if you dismiss that, it stays dismissed. While a page of this site is open the widget asks our workspace every 20 seconds whether a reply is waiting, and pauses entirely when the tab is in the background. When you send a message we receive what you wrote, the page you were on, and an email address if you choose to give one. If you have opted out of measurement, the chat says nothing at all until you write to us yourself.
Analytics: No third-party analytics tool is loaded — the measurement described above is the whole of it.
Fonts and images: Served from this domain, not from a third-party CDN, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited.

Turning measurement off

Withdrawing is meant to be as easy as accepting, so it lives here permanently rather than only in the notice you saw once. This stops measurement in this browser and asks us to delete the history linked to it. It also silences the chat’s background checks, so nothing at all is sent from this browser until you choose to write to us.

It applies to this browser on this device, because that is all a browser can be asked to remember. To have it applied everywhere, or to check that the deletion went through, write to consolo@bashara.pt.

Third-party embeds

There are none. The measurement beacon and the chat both load from a different host that we run ourselves, under the same domain and the same data controller — no outside service learns that you were here. If we later add a calendar booking embed or a video player, we will list it here and load it only after you ask for it.
